As a PTFE expanded tape manufacturer with two decades of production expertise, we supply high-performance sealing solutions for flange systems, threaded connections, and demanding industrial environments. Our expanded PTFE tape for flange gasket is manufactured from 100% virgin polytetrafluoroethylene resin and expanded through a controlled biaxial process to create a highly fibrillated, compressible structure. This material conforms easily to irregular or damaged sealing surfaces, reducing the risk of leakage in glass-lined steel, plastic, and ceramic flanges. For applications where thermal stability is critical, our ePTFE sealing tape high temperature grade withstands continuous service temperatures up to 260°C with short-term excursions to 315°C, making it ideal for steam lines, heat exchangers, and chemical processing units. The inherent flexibility of the expanded microstructure also allows our flexible ePTFE tape for seal to be hand-formed around complex shapes, eliminating the need for custom gaskets in many repair situations. For pipe fitters and maintenance crews, our expanded PTFE tape for pipe thread provides a quick, clean replacement for paste and cord packing, with excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals, solvents, and acids across the full 0–14 pH range. Key product parameters are summarized below.
Our PTFE expanded tape is engineered for reliable sealing performance across a broad range of industrial gasket applications, from standard ASME/ANSI flanges to non-metallic pump housings and manway covers. The tape is produced in a dust-free cleanroom environment, and each batch is tested for tensile strength, elongation, compressibility, and creep relaxation in accordance with ASTM F104 and DIN 28090-2 test methods. The material is inherently non-toxic, non-aging, and UV-resistant, and it complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 for food-contact use as well as TA Luft and BAM requirements for oxygen service when specified. Installation is straightforward: the tape is cut to length, placed over the flange face, and the bolts are tightened in a star pattern. No adhesive is required, which means no residue or curing time. The tape can be removed and repositioned during installation without loss of sealing integrity. The following table provides detailed technical specifications for our standard product line.
