As a specialized 60% bronze hydraulic guide tape supplier, we manufacture wear-resistant guide strips for hydraulic cylinders in construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment. Our core product, the 60% bronze PTFE guide strip for hydraulic cylinder, provides low-friction sliding performance while absorbing radial loads and preventing metal-to-metal contact. In severe side-load applications, the heavy duty hydraulic guide tape offers greater wear resistance and longer service life than standard PTFE tapes. For pistons operating under high transverse forces, our bronze filled PTFE strip for piston guide is dimensioned to fit standard groove profiles and reduce stick-slip. We also stock the high load PTFE guide strip for oil cylinder, which is available in thicker sections for large-bore telescopic and welded cylinders. All materials are produced from virgin PTFE and high-purity bronze powder to ensure consistent mechanical properties batch after batch.
60% Bronze Hydraulic Guide Tape is a filled PTFE wear tape containing 60% bronze by weight. This formulation dramatically increases compressive strength and thermal conductivity compared with unfilled PTFE, allowing the tape to operate under high specific loads and in poorly lubricated conditions. The material has a low coefficient of friction, excellent chemical resistance, and high wear resistance against chrome-plated rods and hardened steel bores. It is commonly used as a guide band on hydraulic cylinder pistons and rods, as well as in linear bearings and other sliding applications.

The tape is supplied in coil form or cut-to-length sections. Standard thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm cover most piston and rod guide groove designs, while widths up to 100 mm accommodate large-diameter cylinders. Custom widths, chamfered edges, and pre-cut lengths are available upon request. The product is packed on UV-resistant cores and sealed in moisture-barrier bags to maintain cleanliness during shipping and storage.
Compared with standard PTFE guide tapes, the 60% bronze version offers roughly five times higher thermal conductivity and two to three times greater compressive strength. This allows designers to use narrower or thinner guide bands without sacrificing load capacity, reducing overall cylinder weight and machining cost. The bronze filler also helps to dissipate frictional heat, which is especially important in high-cycle or high-speed applications where local temperature rise can cause premature wear of unfilled PTFE.
Installation is straightforward: measure the groove circumference, cut the tape to length with a small overlap or butt joint, and press it into the groove. For closed grooves, the tape can be skived at the joint to maintain a smooth sliding surface. No special tools or heat are required. After installation, the tape conforms to the groove geometry and provides a stable bearing surface for the piston or rod.
We maintain strict quality control throughout production. Each incoming lot of bronze powder is verified for particle size and purity, and every batch of tape is tested for density, tensile strength, hardness, and dimensional accuracy. Material certificates and test reports are available with each shipment. Non-standard filler ratios, colors, and dimensions can be produced for OEM customers with annual volume commitments.
