fiberglass PTFE tube chemical resistance

When selecting polymer tubing for aggressive chemical service, chemical resistance determines whether a line remains leak-free, dimensionally stable, and safe over repeated exposure cycles. Fiberglass PTFE tube combines the broad chemical inertness of polytetrafluoroethylene with glass fiber reinforcement to resist swelling, stress cracking, and permeation in demanding process environments. In aircraft and spacecraft fluid systems, 15% glass fiber PTFE tube for aerospace withstands fuels, hydraulic fluids, and aggressive cleaning agents without degradation. For continuous duty at elevated temperatures, glass reinforced PTFE tubing high temperature retains hoop strength and reduces cold-flow deformation that can compromise unfilled PTFE. A PTFE tube with 15% glass fiber filler delivers improved creep resistance and better wear performance while maintaining compatibility with acids, bases, solvents, and halogens. As a 15% glass filled PTFE tube manufacturer, we control filler distribution, concentricity, and wall thickness to produce a consistent chemical barrier that supports long service intervals in critical installations.

Fiberglass PTFE Tube is produced from virgin PTFE resin reinforced with 15% by weight glass fiber. This combination increases compressive strength, improves wear resistance, and reduces cold flow under mechanical load while preserving the near-universal chemical compatibility of the fluoropolymer matrix. It is specified for chemical dosing lines, laboratory fluid transfer, analytical instrumentation, and industrial process piping where both inertness and mechanical stability are required.
