Our PTFE tube with 15% glass fiber filler is engineered for demanding industrial applications where dimensional stability and mechanical strength are critical. This advanced material combines the low friction and non-stick properties of polytetrafluoroethylene with a precisely dispersed 15% glass fiber reinforcement, delivering improved wear resistance, higher compressive strength, and reduced creep under load. As a leading 15% glass fiber PTFE tube for aerospace, this product meets stringent requirements for lightweight, high-performance components used in fuel lines, hydraulic systems, and insulation sleeves. The glass reinforced PTFE tubing high temperature capabilities allow continuous operation in environments up to 260°C (500°F), with short-term excursions even higher, making it ideal for engine compartments and exhaust-adjacent routing. Partnering with a dedicated 15% glass filled PTFE tube manufacturer ensures consistent batch-to-batch quality, tight tolerances, and custom cut lengths. Furthermore, the fiberglass PTFE tube chemical resistance is outstanding, with near-universal compatibility against acids, bases, solvents, and aggressive process fluids.

The PTFE tube with 15% glass fiber filler is manufactured through a controlled paste extrusion process, followed by sintering to achieve optimal density and fiber distribution. This production method eliminates internal voids and ensures uniform wall thickness, which is critical for predictable burst pressure ratings and consistent electrical insulation performance. The 15% glass fiber content provides a significant improvement in stiffness over unfilled PTFE, reducing deformation under mechanical load by up to 40% while retaining a low coefficient of friction around 0.08–0.12. The glass fibers are silane-treated to enhance interfacial bonding, which contributes to excellent wear resistance and reduced cold flow under sustained compressive loads.

This product excels in applications requiring dimensional stability under compressive loads, such as valve seats, pump wear rings, bearing bushings, and electrical standoffs. The glass fiber reinforcement also improves creep resistance, making the tube suitable for long-term static sealing in flanged connections. Custom fabrication options include tight-tolerance machining, cut-to-length pieces, flaring, flanging, and heat-shrinkable forms. The tube can be etched on one or both surfaces to allow bonding with adhesives or overmolding with elastomers. Typical industries include chemical processing, oil and gas, semiconductor manufacturing, and food equipment, although the material is not recommended for direct contact with hydrofluoric acid or hot concentrated alkali due to glass fiber reactivity. Proper ventilation is advised when machining, as glass fiber dust may be generated. The product is available in coils, straight lengths, or cut pieces, with inner diameters from 0.5 mm to 50 mm and wall thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 5 mm, depending on diameter. Standard packaging uses moisture-resistant bags with desiccant to prevent contamination, and each batch includes a certificate of conformance with traceable lot numbers. Lead time for standard sizes is typically 5–7 business days, while custom profiles may require 2–3 weeks. For high-volume OEM requirements, we offer compounding, extrusion, and secondary operations under one roof, reducing supply chain complexity.
