10% carbon filled PTFE bush has less thermal expansion, higher wear resistance, less deformation under load properties compared to virgin PTFE. Carbon filled PTFE has excellent mechanical and wear properties, retains the excellent frictional properties and 10% carbon filled PTFE bush is an excellent choice for seals and rings in dynamic and high pressure applications.
Advantages and Benefits
10% carbon filled PTFE bush has Improved thermal dimensional stability, Improved creep resistance, Improved compression strength, Good cold flow reduction. It also has exceptional temperature resistance, Excellent chemical stability, Good thermal and electrical conductivity, Excellent wear resistance, Excellent resistance to abrasion and Improved surface hardness
Service Temperature
10% carbon filled PTFE bush has a continuous service temperature range from -100° C (-148° F ) to 250° C (482° F). For limited periods, 10% carbon filled PTFE bush is capable of sustaining even higher temperatures. Additionally, 10% carbon filled PTFE bush is capable of satisfactory performance at temperatures down to -200° C (-328° F).
Chemical Resistance
10% carbon filled PTFE bush is inert to nearly all known chemicals except for elemental alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride, and elemental fluorine at high temperature and pressures.
Solvent Resistance
10% carbon filled PTFE bush has insoluble properties in all solvents up to temperatures as high as 300° C (572° F). Certain highly fluorinated oils swell and dissolve PTFE at temperatures close to the crystalline melting point.
