Low starting torque in PTFE tubing depends on the right filler package and consistent processing. For actuators, valve stems, and linear guides that must break away smoothly from rest, the 15% glass 5% MoS2 PTFE tube for low friction combines two functional fillers to reduce static friction and stabilize geometry. We supply glass and molybdenum disulfide filled PTFE tubing with tightly controlled filler dispersion, which prevents the uneven breakaway torque that can occur with poorly mixed compounds.
