PTFE tube low friction high strength

For engineers and procurement teams seeking a reliable low-friction, high-strength tubing solution, our PTFE tube low friction high strength series offers a proven combination of mechanical durability and self-lubricating performance. The 25% glass 5% MoS2 PTFE tube high load grade is specifically formulated with 25% glass fiber and 5% molybdenum disulfide to handle elevated compressive loads while retaining a smooth, low-friction surface. For applications that require balanced stiffness and lubricity, the glass fiber MoS2 PTFE tubing delivers consistent performance in rotating and reciprocating assemblies. Where abrasive wear is the primary concern, the high wear resistance PTFE tube MoS2 filled variant extends service intervals by minimizing material loss under continuous rubbing conditions. As a long-standing 25% glass MoS2 PTFE tube supplier, we maintain tight dimensional control and offer custom cutting, flaring, and forming services to match your assembly requirements. Standard tubes are available in inner diameters from 2 mm to 50 mm and wall thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 5 mm. The material is non-stick, chemically inert, and suitable for food-grade, medical, and chemical processing environments where contamination must be avoided. Unlike metal or rubber alternatives, this PTFE tube does not absorb moisture, does not promote bacterial growth, and maintains its mechanical properties across a wide temperature range. The addition of glass fiber significantly increases compressive strength and dimensional stability under load, while MoS2 acts as a solid lubricant to reduce stick-slip behavior in start-stop applications. This makes the tubing especially suitable for automotive throttle cables, chemical injection lines, and food processing equipment where low breakout force is essential. Every lot is tested for tensile strength, elongation, and coefficient of friction, and certificates of conformance are available upon request.

Key material attributes include:

The Low Friction High Strength PTFE Tube is precision-extruded to meet the demands of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer systems where reduced drag and structural integrity are critical. This tube is produced from virgin PTFE resin blended with controlled percentages of glass fiber and MoS2, ensuring uniform dispersion and consistent mechanical behavior. The table below lists the typical physical and mechanical properties for standard and filled grades. These values are measured on 2 mm wall thickness samples at 23°C unless otherwise noted. Custom formulations, colors, and dimensional profiles are available upon request. The Low Friction High Strength PTFE Tube is also available in coils, straight lengths, or cut-to-size pieces, and standard color is natural white with black or custom colors available for identification. The inner surface roughness is typically Ra 0.4 µm or better, reducing particulate buildup and improving flow characteristics in fluid handling systems. Dimensional tolerances follow ISO 13000 or custom specifications, with concentricity controlled to ±0.05 mm for precision assemblies.
