Where extended sleeve contact and steady wear rates are required, the glass fiber filled PTFE sleeve bearing delivers predictable performance across start-stop cycles and dry-run events. Our PTFE bushing with fiberglass reinforcement is machined from compression-molded billets, ensuring uniform glass distribution, low porosity, and tight OEM tolerances. In abrasive slurry or dry-running pump conditions, the wear resistant PTFE bushing glass fille resists scoring, heat build-up, and premature edge wear better than unfilled PTFE.


The 20% Glass PTFE Bushing is produced from a homogeneous blend of virgin PTFE resin and 20% by weight milled E-glass fiber. This compound is compression molded into billets or tubes, then CNC-machined to the required inner diameter, outer diameter, and length. The glass fiber reinforcement raises load capacity by roughly 35–50% compared with unfilled PTFE, making the bushing suitable for medium-duty pumps, mixers, conveyors, and valve stems. Dimensional stability is also improved, which helps maintain running clearance and reduces the chance of shaft seizure after thermal cycling. Typical tolerance grades are H7/D9 for inner diameters and h7 for outer diameters, with surface finishes down to Ra 0.8 µm on sliding faces.

This product is commonly specified in chemical processing, water treatment, food equipment, and marine pump applications where grease-free operation or chemical resistance is required. The glass filler slightly raises the coefficient of friction compared with virgin PTFE, but the gain in wear resistance and load support is substantial. Proper shaft hardness of 45 HRC or higher and a surface finish of 0.4 µm Ra or better are recommended to maximize bushing life.

Standard stock sizes range from 6 mm to 150 mm ID, with wall thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 30 mm and lengths up to 300 mm. Custom dimensions, grooves, flanges, and chamfers are available through CNC machining. Each batch is inspected for filler distribution, density, hardness, and dimensional accuracy, and material certificates can be supplied on request. Packaging uses corrosion-resistant film and reinforced cartons to prevent deformation during transit.
