Polyimide Filled PTFE Tube is produced from virgin PTFE resin compounded with a precisely controlled percentage of micronized polyimide filler, typically 15%, 20%, or 25% by weight depending on the required balance of wear resistance, compressive strength, and friction coefficient. The polyimide particles are dispersed uniformly through the PTFE matrix during a proprietary cold extrusion and sintering process, which creates a dense, homogeneous tube structure with no visible agglomerates or porosity. This composite material retains the broad chemical compatibility and wide service temperature range of PTFE while adding the load-bearing and wear-resistant characteristics of polyimide. The inner bore is smooth and consistent, supporting stable fluid flow and low-friction linear motion for shafts, cables, and piston rods. Polyimide Filled PTFE Tube is commonly used in dry-running bushings, seal backup rings, wear guides, and insulation sleeves where traditional PTFE would deform or wear too quickly under cyclic loads. Dimensional tolerances are held to ISO 13085 class M2 or tighter when required, and each shipping lot includes lot-specific hardness, tensile, and friction test data.
